Andrea's Book Club Bracelet

Two of my favorite things in life (besides my family, of course) are charm bracelets & reading.  If you're here, you already know all about the charm bracelets...but I also belong to a wonderful book club at the local library.

The ladies of the book club are terrific friends, and we have some very interesting discussions (some livelier than others!), so it was only natural to combine the book club with charms, and here it is - our book club charm bracelet, with a charm representing each book we read.

There's a tall ship for Robinson Crusoe, a salamander for Farenheit 451, a tall Alice from Alice in Wonderland, a caboose for Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café, a lighthouse from Ahab's Wife (one of my personal favorites, by Sena Jeter Naslund - I highly recommend it!), and a bee & beehive for The Secret Life of Bees - just to name a few.

We meet every month, so I'm sure that eventually we are going to need to expand to a second bracelet, or maybe a charm necklace.  Either way, it sure is nice to have a bracelet that reminds me of the wonderful books we've read and the amazing friends I've made!
